CAE Launches Student Scholarship Scheme

CAE Technology Services, today announced the launch of their “Annual Student Scholarship Scheme”. The scheme was initiated last year and has provided college students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and learn the key skills required to progress within the IT industry.

The student scholarship scheme is open to all full and part time students who are currently pursuing an IT or business related course, offering an exclusive opportunity for a specially selected student to receive a scholarship  funded by CAE Technology Services. The scheme will also be endorsed by the world’s leading ICT Manufacturers including; Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, VMware and NetApp.

The application deadline for this year’s scholarship scheme is Thursday 31st March 2011 and is based on application criteria stated further below.

The winner will be chosen by the CAE panel of directors who have “sole and absolute discretion” over all decisions as to whether an applicant qualifies. The successful student will be presented the award in person at their college before the end of 2010-2011 academic year.

How to apply for the Scholarship

All applicants must write a 500-1000 word report or alternatively prepare a short video lasting no longer then 10 minutes, covering the following points:

1. How he/she utilises technology on a daily basis to assist with their studies.
2. Describe his/her career plans.
3. Explain how one of the technologies they use, could help a commercial business operate more efficiently.

The Successful Student

The winner will be chosen by our panel of Directors and the successful applicant and college will be notified in writing. The Directors from CAE will present the award in person at the College before the end of 2010-2011 academic Year.

The Award will include:

1. A student learning solution to include a Laptop, Webcam, Email, Microsoft Office and 12 months mobile internet access.
2. Offer of work experience with CAE Technology Services.
3. Opportunity to meet with leading ICT manufacturers.
4. Mentoring from experienced ICT/Business Professionals.

All submissions must be received no later than Thursday 31st of March 2011.
