cae - Technology together

CAE has been accredited to the Information Security standard ISO 27001:2013

The standard is the most widely recognised security accreditation in the world and represents an important part of how CAE delivers service and its understanding of how security needs to be pervasive in an organisation to manage constantly changing risks.

Accreditation means that the infrastructure CAE uses to deliver services to customers is constantly reviewed to ensure that the risks associated to the access and processing of any information are kept to an absolute minimum without adversely impacting the customer experience.

CAE Managing Director, Justin Harling, observed, “The CAE approach to security is that risk needs to be assessed in the context of a business being able to perform to its maximum potential. It is much more than deploying technology, processes and the culture of an organisation play an equally important part.”

CAE Quality Manager Minoo Agarwal elaborates further, “implementing the system included putting in place 114 separate controls and over 50 documents including processes, procedures and forms. Everyone in the organisation had to take responsibility for ensuring a consistent approach and it is this that lead to the audits being successful.”

Achieving this goal means that CAE has taken another step in giving customers absolute confidence in all services being delivered and is uniquely positioned to help them implement security solutions that are recognised as consistently delivering best practice.

Justin summarises, “Although a fantastic collective achievement this is part of a culture of constant improvement that will allow us to adapt and stay relevant into the future.”

CAE accredited to the ISO 27001:2013 standard following an independent audit of its information management security system by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA). We would be delighted to share further details and related services.
